Characterizing Language Identification by Standardizing Operations
نویسندگان
چکیده
Notions from formal language learning theory are characterized in terms of standardizing operations on classes of recursively enumerable languages. Algorithmic identification in the limit of grammars from text presentation of recursively enumerable languages is a central paradigm of language learning. A mapping, F, from the set of all grammars into the set of all grammars is a standardizing operation on a class of recursively enumerable languages L just in case F maps any grammar for any language L ∈ L to a canonical grammar for L. Investigating connections between these two notions is the subject of this paper.

متن کاملDomain Specific Language for Geometric Relations between Rigid Bodies targeted to robotic applications
This paper presents a DSL for geometric relations between rigid bodies such as relative position, orientation, pose, linear velocity, angular velocity, and twist. The DSL is the formal model of the recently proposed semantics for the standardization of geometric relations between rigid bodies [1], [2], referred to as ‘geometric semantics’. This semantics explicitly states the coordinate-invaria...
متن کاملA Framework to Build Process Theories of Anticipatory Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Standardizing
Standards have become critical to information and communication technologies (ICTs) as they become complex and pervasive. We propose a process theory framework to explain anticipatory standardizing outcomes post hoc when the standardizing process is viewed as networks of events. Anticipatory standards define future capabilities for ICT ex ante in contrast to ex post standardizing existing pract...
متن کاملمقایسه روش های طیفی برای شناسایی زبان گفتاری
Identifying spoken language automatically is to identify a language from the speech signal. Language identification systems can be divided into two categories, spectral-based methods and phonetic-based methods. In the former, short-time characteristics of speech spectrum are extracted as a multi-dimensional vector. The statistical model of these features is then obtained for each language. The ...
متن کاملOffline Language-free Writer Identification based on Speeded-up Robust Features
This article proposes offline language-free writer identification based on speeded-up robust features (SURF), goes through training, enrollment, and identification stages. In all stages, an isotropic Box filter is first used to segment the handwritten text image into word regions (WRs). Then, the SURF descriptors (SUDs) of word region and the corresponding scales and orientations (SOs) are extr...
